Fishy business that is nauseating and diarrhoea-inducing. Literally.

I have never in my entire life felt like I needed the loo every 1 minute before.

Not until today.

After feeling feverish and vomiting my bubble tea out on tuesday(not to mention, not being able to study at all given that it's the exam period),clever me decided that it was time to see the doc. Ah well, despite waiting an agonising twenty minutes or more(it felt like eternity), when I was finally able to meet the doc, the consultation took less than 5 minutes! No it's not the doc that was being an expert in his field that led to the quick diagnosis I believe. I just think that he brushed off my condition as a 'stomach flu' way too quickly. He took my temperature and didn't even bother informing me about it even though it was normal( I only found out when I asked the nurse); but I still think it was a basic obligation to patients to have the right to at least know their temperature upon it being taken, it reassures the patient and probably makes him feel a little better. You know, psychological healing?

Oh and anyway, what was more ABSURD and APPALLING was the fact that he prescribed PANADOL and some diarrhoea pills to me. I was more flabberghasted by the PANADOL though. I could have easily got it from home at zero the cost. Instead, I stupidly got swindled of $36 on medicine. And about the 'diarrhoea pills' which supposedly could treat 'gastric flu' too, it's such a tragic irony that it induced diarrhoea in me instead. That explains the rumbling sounds I keep hearing in my gut, threatening to bomb the toilet bowl every few minutes, interrupting my progress with my zebrafish report at the same time(which explains the title of this post).

Another point that I cleverly noticed was the 'ingredients' of the diarrhoea medicine, it said 'lactobaccillus acidophillus'. Hello, isn't that the bacteria found in Yakult or Vitagen? He could have easily asked me to go grab a pack of the pro-biotic drink just like a more compassionate and less mercenary doctor from the same clinic told me to do when I went to see him for diarrhoea. Well anyway, the 'heat packed' bacteria seemed to be too potent for my gut. Well, it's supposed to be good bacteria for treating diarrhoea and gastric flus but I think, this heat packed version is perhaps so potent that it leads to the opposite of its intended effect?

Well, lesson learned, never go to the doctor too early. Always try the best(and cheapest) blockbuster medicine ever created first- PANADOL.
