Christmas at Hills

God is awesome!

He ensured that we were able to catch the 393 bus to central station when we missed the one we expected to catch.

He ensured that we knew which bus stop to alight at by placing many people at the bus stop.

He ensured that there were two seats reserved for us.

He ensured that there was someone to tell us how to get back to the lodge by sending an indonesian girl to direct us.

Most of all, He gave me a perfect Christmas gift by answering my question.

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favour rests."

I asked for God's peace. But He showed me that in order to have that, I needed to give Glory to Him FIRST. I needed to place Him as my priority. I needed to GLORIFY Him FIRST before His peace will come.

Now I am thinking how might my life glorify Him.

I desire to be a joy to people around me. I desire to see my friends know Christ. But I need God's help to help me communicate better with others. I find that I really don't know how to tell others about Christ sometimes. I feel like I am not doing Him justice. So God, tomorrow, let me be your WALKING TALKING testimony. I may not be a good speaker or social butterfly, but let my life speak of your love, joy and hope.

Oh, other than the wonderful message, there were real donkeys, lambs and two camels brought into the church too! Real life animals and the lambs were meh-ing throughout! haha.what a wonderful chirstmas surprise! However, I also noticed that there was santa claus. Hmm. Do they believe in Santa Claus or is it just part of their culture? Well fortunately, the Santa said that JESUS is the REASON for te SEASON.

Anyways, I also made some observations of the worship team. Quite similar to tcc but yet quite different. The singers were at the corner and looked rather hidden. They were all dressed in black. The guitarists were in front of the keyboardists and they looked real hip kind. The worship leaders were all in front and boy were they young!!!

Alrights, I'm just going to end here since its getting late..Have service at 9 am tmr. Hope I get up in time. Actually, would love to go to Hillsong at the Hills as everybody else in the group wants to. But somehow, I feel that its not the right thing as my focus is no longer on God but on the novelty of a church in the Hills. Ah well, I'll just let God decide and lead!
