This week is thw 'passion week' where God sent His one and only son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world. I had actually intended to make a committment to God to fast from my bad snacking habits but apparently, I have already broken my promise from day one. Ruined by a box of ferreros. And oily twister snacks. Great. Sometimes, I wish that mum wouldn't be so nice and bring back food to put on the kitchen table. It's just toooooooooo tempting for me. It simply makes me hungry the moment I open my eyes in bed and before I even brush my teeth in the morning.
Anyway, as usual, I went to work away all my pathetic feelings of guilt, low self esteem, loss of motivation and blah blah by heading for puggol park. I was pleasantly surprised by the setting sun and the rising moon. I loved the reflection of the sun in the lake. I loved to see the people and their dogs. I loved to see the children playing with their daddies. I loved to look out for those toned guys who ran like nobody's business. hehe. But sadly, not many of them are usually around and they are outnumbered by middle-aged uncles with beer bellies of various sizes. Sighhhhh. Anyway, after running for four rounds ard the short distanced park, I decided to head back home. As I was jogging along the canal, I was greeted by the bright and faintly orangey moon that appeared bigger than usual against the light blue evening sky. Beautiful. Surreal. Almost like a dream.
Now I really can't wait for the day when I can pack my bag and leave for another mountain trekking trip. Hopefully, I can find the right people or rather, the right person to go with me, if you get the drift. hee.
For now, it's JIAYOU for the rest of my week!
