The red and grey brick road.

Intensive training has been on for the past three weeks now. The first week passed painfully slowly but subsequent weeks seem to just woosh by now. Well, I'm glad that I'm getting used to the trainings and i feel myself getting stronger too!

Well, apart from the actual trainings, I usually make it a point to reach sdba about an hour earlier. Haa. I have a few reasons. One, so that I can catch the more empty bus which would promise more seats. Two, so that i can go for my hype-up run ( to get rid of the lethargy of waking up at 6am) and three, so that I can take my time to take pictures! So let me take you on a journey of my photographic exploits! Here we go..

As I start my journey on the red-and-grey brick road, I am greeted by the blue blue sky( with a straight line of cloud)...."Refreshing!" I thought to myself.
And here we have the cottony-clouds...
Look at the reflection in the waters! Close to a post-card-worthy picture:)I chance upon a grass patch of fallen pink flowers. The wind blows, the flowers fall off one by one. If only I could just catch one in my hand before it fell.. ( But my hands are full with the paddle, lifejacket, shoebag! *grumble mumble mumble..*)

The same patch of grass with fallen flowers. This picture was taken a few days later before the previous photo. Just look at it! It's literally like a ' bed of roses'! A sea of pink! It's like the sakuras in Japan!
Traces of the flowers that have landed on the brick road..
Fallen leaves further up...
The launch-off point

Into the tunnel we go..
and onto the "double-yellow-lines" road (when the silly gate isn't open)

The magnificent morning sun which puts a momentarary smile on my face. I'm highly aware of how nasty it could become and drain the energy out of you before you even step into the boat...Reminder to me: Sunblock. Lots of it.As I prepare to enter into the 'fun' place..
Where it all happens. Ready for jumping jacks?
Finally, the 'heavenly' place where we have our 'exciting' trainings. The place is really nice for a leisurely row. Haha...You see seagulls resting on the bouys and if you venture further out to the barrage area, you might even sight a flock of birds flying in formation.
(Yes, it's true. We saw a flock of white birds flying in V-shape on one training session.)Oh, and we do get to get a sneak peak of the National Day Parade(NDP) proceedings since the NDP started staging at marina. Haha. Today we just saw the parachuters and some navy motor ski..haha...

Oh well...that's all for the journey on the red-and-grey brick road.
Hope you had fun:)
