It was alarming. The rate at which I withdrew cash from my savings account yesterday. I finally understand how worrried one can get if one had a shrinking bank account. I had been spending almost the entire week searching for the lime green long sleeved blouse that I needed for serving. I went to Pasir Ris, Tampines, Seng Kang, Holland V, Orchard Road( twice), and STILL couldn't find it. Most of the time, I see the colour lime green, but it's short sleeve! Or I find a long sleeve blouse, and it's just not Lime GreeN! Is it Murphy's Law at work again? Or is it just God's way of telling me that I need to just stop searching and let him look for the blouse for me? Oh well, but anyway, Grace said that she found someone with an extra lime green blouse. SiGHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! But anyway, I had a fun time hunting down the dress codes with Grace though. It was a crazy time of trying on jacket after jacket, with Grace trying to mimic a Co-leader in the fitting RoOm while I just gave her that 'please-don't-embarrass-me'look. *hehe*.

Oh, and we even had a fun time styling the hair of a mannequin. In fact, we were so effective that the entire wig fell off! Ok. I was the one who noticed that the mannequin's hair was pretty untidy so my itchy hands decided to rearrange the hair. But who knew that my dragon boat muscles came into play as well and the entire thing just fell off it's head and landed pathetically on the ground. Well, when I attempted to place it back on it's head, it sat in a more pathetic position than before. I hope no one caught me on camera during that entire mis-adventure.

The new wing of centrepoint is also open! Unfortunately, the two new basement levels are seemingly isolated and almost devoid of human traffic. Grace and I wanted to try out this restraunt at basement two but when we got there, we saw no one in the restraunt, while I noticed flies lingering above the 'Popiah' ingredients, I immediately said to her," Err..I think I don't want my popiah anymore." So we settled for a waffle. A sweet, warm and FRESH waffle from Prima Deli.

I met up with my long-time-no-see siying yesterday too. It was nice to see her in her spunky new short do. No more sweetie-pie look, but a career-woman or sporty kind of look. Well, we had a nice time catching up. We went into this art shop in Plaza SinG. It was a really one-of-a-kind shop. The interior design of the shop was intriguing. There were rows and rows of art material for you to do a scrap book or cards and such. They even had two rooms where they held art lessons for customers. So it was something like a mini art club. Then there were these full-length mirrors in the store that were quite effective in making people think that the store is bigger than it really is as our dear siying was successfully made to think so. hehe.

Oh well, I guess it was a rather eventful day for me yesterday. Would have been better if not for the slight rain. It really spoils the experience of walking along orchard road. Now I have to bathe twice a day all because I went under the rain. Hmm. THink I shall bring an umbrella along next time. No matter how 'auntie' I think it is. Hey, this is called being 'wise' ok?
